9 months. 66 books. and countless hours of study later; I have come to the end of my journey with the School of Biblical Studies (SBS). This opportunity has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I wish I could put into prose all that God has revealed but my life attests to the transformational power of studying scripture. Though this course was challenging and overwhelming at times, I can say that I love the Bible more today than I did at the start. More importantly, I have fallen in love with the One who inspired it all. Receiving my certificate last night signified so much more than an academic achievement. Sure, I learned plenty of historical background and now know the significance of 70 AD and 589 BC blah, blah, but all of that is rubbish in light of what I truly gained. That piece of paper represents a journey which deepened my relationship with the Lord, challenged my worldview and changed the way I see myself. Graduation did not mark a point of arrival for me. There is so much more that I am eager to learn. I know it's not be possible for everyone to have the privilege of studying the Word for 9 months; however, I encourage you to jump in at any capacity you can and discover this precious treasure for yourself. Also, I am excited to announce that I joined a small team of teachers that will be traveling to Zimbabwe in a few weeks from now. We will be teaching pastors and communities who are hungry to know scripture but have not had the opportunity. I will post in more detail about this opportunity in the coming weeks. Thank you all who have faithfully stood in prayer with me. Your support means more than you can imagine.
