There is nothing quite like a rich piece of dark chocolate melting on your tongue. The initial tangy bite followed by a delightfully pleasant aftertaste, leaves each bit as decadent as the last. Such is every bittersweet adieu I make upon leaving home. Heartbroken to part from those whom I love most yet hopeful as I embark on the passionate journey which the Lord has laid ahead of me. As I load my backpack in preparation to head out once again, I leave with much more than my personal belongings. I leave with wonderful memories of family gatherings, meaningful conversations, and a grateful heart. I tend to cherish each moment all the more, knowing that like a piece of dark chocolate, it won't last forever. I have gained such an appreciation for my homeland and with that a hope for its future that could only be from God. I love America and it's beautiful culture full of friendly people, football games, and fall festivals. This is truly a bittersweet goodbye! However, many new opportunities are on the horizon. Thanks to all, whose support makes God's dreams into a physical reality- I am excited to announce that I even found a flat to move into! Please continue checking my blog to stay up to date on adventures that are yet to come. Wishing you and your family a happy New Year! - Sydney Enjoy some photos from the second part of my time in the US of A!
