Family, food, festivity all around
A snapshot of life where love abounds Hear the carols, see the reindeer It's a sign- the most wonderful time is here Expectations are high As kids listen for sleigh bells in the sky Grandma ensures the table is set All the while, credit cards rack up debt Money is tight Stress ensues Families Scatter Hearts sing the blues Take the Fa-La-La-La-La-ing Strip it away All that remains is a baby in the hay This night, there is peace in the midst of chaos Stillness in the midst of commotion Here- living proof, of our Father's devotion Mary's heart is filled with joy as she snugly wraps her baby boy The stars, they glisten and shepherds listen as angels sing on high "Oh come let us adore him," they hear the armies of heaven say Blessing and honor, glory and power are yours oh, little one Look at him now- the least of these yet he truly is God's son Redemption at last and hope forevermore Does anything compare on that wish list of yours? The lights and ornaments are nice you see but it's not all this season is meant to be The world has created this facade- a cheap imitation Which pales in comparison to this divine incarnation Let us be merry Let us be bright but let us remember it's all because of that one silent night
